After arriving in Vietnam in 2019, Robbie and Trevor bonded as they went through the process of obtaining their Vietnamese motorcycle license- the practical test that Trevor failed twice. (You try doing it in front of 200 young Vietnamese kids!) Robbie proceeded to open a restaurant in Danang with his brother Jacques while Trevor went through somewhat of a medical emergency suffering from a detached retina in his right eye (hence the eyepatch in the logo!)

During Trevor’s medical excursions to Saigon, he turned lemons into lemonade by meeting his future wife – Khai. After getting married in Hue; Trevor was ready for his next adventure and the three rogues brainstormed and Scallywags was born.

Trevor Biggs – Partner and General Director Scallywags Bar and Grill LLC Trevor is a Canadian expat from British Columbia, Canada. He came to Danang in 2019 on a sabbatical after many years as an advertising executive and Associate Publisher in Toronto. Prior to that, he was a radio announcer in various major markets across Canada. 

Khải Nguyễn – Partner and President Scallywags Bar and Grill LLC Khai was born in Hue and previously lived in Saigon where she managed a successful restaurant for 10 years. She moved to Danang in 2021 and lives in Son Tra with Trevor and their cat Sammy.

Robbie Addinall – Partner and Chief Financial Officer Scallywags Bar and Grill LLC Robbie moved with his family to Danang in 2019 after many years of running a manufacturing business in China. A South African native – Robbie earned his pirate bona fides in the Cayman Islands where he managed a large food and beverage business. Robbie owns and operates the Braai Pit restaurants in Danang and Hoi An – and lives in Son Tra with his wife and two children.
